I need safer foods!

Posted by admin on Jan-29-2008

Normally, I would purchase fresh meat from the hypermarket. It is a convenience way for me to get fresh meat with nice environment. However, there is a report mentioned that the initial screening of fresh meat and seafood sold at a hypermarket at Ipoh found traces of sulphur dioxide. It is a preservative only allowed in manufactured food.

However, the health ministry department will seize the fresh meat and seafood for further tests. Once they get the positive confirmation, the ministry would trace the suppliers and prosecute them.

I hope the food supplier will consider consumer’s health besides thinking their business only.

Stockpiles to save more money~

The price for foods would be going up if it is facing shortage during the festive session. CNY just around the corner, so, the government has made the decision to food stockpile for rice and cooking oil. The council will monitor, advise and oversee the government’s price policy, competitive market structure and the efficiency of subsidy schemes. It would also monitor, review and recommend measures to rationalise government subsidies and price support activities covering the production and supply, including imports, of all price-controlled items.

This is the good move to avoid the people to spend much in the essential stuffs.

Prediction from the bomoh

Posted by admin on Jan-24-2008

When something we couldn’t answer, we tend to find the answer from the rituals. This is same with the Sharlinie case. As you know, she is missing for two weeks. Her family invited about 50 bomohs and their followers to perform prayers and conduct rituals at the home.

Luckily, it was the positive reply from the bomohs. They said that Sharlinie still alive and would found within a week. The bomohs also said there are two men and one woman are involved in this case.

Hope the prediction from the bomoh would come true. She would back safely.
