The government has declared 5.8% for Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for last year. Everyone of Malaysian needs to contribute at least 11% of their current salary into their EPF account, whereas the employers need to cover another 12% of it.
Below are the summary of the EPF rates for the passed few years:
2001:5.00%
2002:4.25%
2003:4.50%
2004:4.75%
2005:5.00%
2006:5.15%
2007:5.80%
Apparently, the last year’s pay out is the highest among this few years! But my employer didn pay the EPF for us! This is so sick!!

The Prime Ministry has launched the second generation of Proton Saga today. I remembered the Proton Saga has been stopping the production since few years ago. The first generation of Proton Saga was launched in July 1985. It was 23 years ago!
The price range for new Saga is from RM31,500 and RM39,998. It comes with 1.3 litre Campro Twin-cam engine but added with intake air-fuel module (IAFM). It is believed that would be better performance.
So, if you are looking for an affordable salon car, perhaps this is a new choice~!

For your information, Malaysia batik has become a unique identity in representing Malaysia. In order to promote this traditional dress, civil servant will now have to wear batik attire every Thursday starting tomorrow.
Previously, the practice was for civil servants to wear batik to work on Saturdays and this was later changed to every first and 15th day of the month, beginning June 2005. The idea of promoting Malaysian batik was first mooted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s late wife Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood.
So, will you put a batik dress on you, Malaysian?

The increasing of children abducted cases have becoming the alarm to tell public to put more concern on the security for children. Several precautions have been suggested, one of it is installing the CCTV in the school area.
The proposal to install CCTVs had been discussed at the ministerial level and he hoped the ministry could obtain some allocation to buy the equipment, he said yesterday.
I think this is a positive move to avoid the similar case to happen again.
