Bangkok: ChaTuChak Weekend Market

If you are planning to go to Bangkok, don’t forget to go during the weekend. This is because you must go to ChaTuChak weekend market when you are at Bangkok.

We went there at the second day of our trip. We went by Taxi. The taxi driver charged us 150 baht from Pratunam to ChaTuChak. I know it is overprice, but what to do right?

In ChaTuChak weekend market, you can find anything that you want. As I know, it is about 35 acres and contains about 15,000 market and stores! They divided the market into few sections. Each section is selling for different goods. You can find everything you want at here.

My advice is, when you see something you like, then go and bargain then buy it! Do not think that you can find the way back to this store again. If you are not a regular there, it is truly hard to return to the same store.

 The drawback of this market is too warm. I was sweating there and bought a lot of mineral water from there (10 baht for small bottle). The market closed at 6PM. If you have nothing to hurry, please still until 6PM. You will find something quite special there.

    thanks for the pics. make it a series. i was there too but it was so hot we stayed for a little while before rushing back to the aircon of a taxi n later our hotel rooms. i didnt ind the heat but my frens did

    I asked the price for puppy, it is only 600 baht per dog! I was so wanted to get one, but I have no way to bring it back… :(

    Chubby-Boy also not in the mood to shop in ChaTuChak. The reason is too HOT. But I can’t resist with low price stuffs, haha!
