Traveling ethic

How much you spent in traveling in a year? I am not a well-off person, so I only can allocate one to two thousand the maximum for travel abroad. As you know, economy is not that good, so it is better we spend wisely.
However, Some-City’s mayor spent 1 million and 400 thousand in 20 months traveling abroad for “research and study” purposes! The money spent is funded by the country. They even not submitted any report regarding the trip; at least I wrote blog post to tell my readers about my trip!
It makes me think of ethical aspect. I spent my own money for traveling. But, there is small group of people spending public’s money for their own good. That is bad.
