Trace the expenses

Posted by admin on Feb-28-2009

Actually, I earned more in the passed two months. My wage is higher in the passed two months because I got few claims from my work. However, after I pay this pay that, the balance doesn’t appear as bright as it supposed to be…

I didn’t spend much, I didn’t buy any new gadgets over the passed two months. I was planning to get a Nokia 5800 in this month, I haven’t bought it yet! Then, where my money has gone?

I rarely trace my expenses, but I roughly know where I spent it. But this time I have totally no idea. Apparently my “tracking” technique doesn’t work lately as I am getting forgetful. Do you have any technique which can trace your expenses effectively?

Toll hike!

Posted by admin on Feb-26-2009

Terrible bad news! Malaysian needs to spend more money for paying toll! There are five major highways going to raise the toll rate beginning March 1! These five highways in the list are PLUS, AKLEH, Sprint/ Kerinchi/ Damansara Link, Sungai Besi highway, and the New Pantai Expressway (NPE).

PLUS highway is expected to increase 5% from the current rate.

Two days ago they abolished a non-critical highway at Salak Jaya. Two days later they increased toll rate in five major highways. Hey, what are you trying to tell us?!

A trip to Avillion Port Dickson

Posted by admin on Feb-23-2009

I never go to Port Dickson until my department conducted a teambuilding there last month. I was told by some colleagues that the beach has been polluted and do not put higher expectation.

It is not too far from Petaling Jaya. It took me about 1 hour 30 minutes to drive there. We were staying at Avillion Port Dickson. I have to say it is a classy hotel in Port Dickson with superb nice service! There are two types of room available which is water chalet and garden chalet. The rental rate of water chalet (RM480+/ night) is slightly expensive than garden chalet (RM450+/ night). Our company booked the garden chalet for us, as expected. There are other types of villa available; the rental is more than RM1000 per night!

The room is really big. Bathroom size is bigger than Genting First World Hotel standard room. The bed is covered with mosquito net, mind you; there will always mosquito attack at night!

However, we were thinking that place is more suitable for couple to have their sweet holiday. The scenery is so nice, and Avillion has their private beach in Port Dickson. It is so clean and nice.

Conclusion, I had an enjoyable trip to Port Dickson because I was staying in Avillion. If there is a chance, I will go there again, but, I don’t think I will pay the amount by my own… haha!

No refreshment in meeting

Posted by admin on Feb-20-2009

One of the advantages in my current organization is they always serve refreshment during meeting, workshop, or training. Although it is just simple and light food such as curry puff, cake, coffee, and tea, but I do enjoy it very much. I feel good when having food during meeting, haha!

Maybe due to recession or whatever reasons, starting this year, I notice they didn’t serve refreshment during meeting/ training. I attended a three hours training today, no refreshment, and they just left paper cups beside the water dispenser! I missed those days we can have kuih to eat while meeting/ training. Sometime I can even DaBao back for my housemates…

So bad the recession, make me attending meeting without food! :(
