Careless at work

I made a big mistake in my work. I supposed to handle an event last Saturday, but the event was cancelled because I didn’t get any further notice on it. Then, I forget to inform a colleague from ICT department. That colleague came to office last Saturday then she called me. I felt so bad, I felt so sorry because of my careless.
I know how important the weekend is. I will give her a treat today to express my sincere apology… The most important thing is I will be dealing with that department a lot… sigh… what can I do now?
