Do you like Barbie doll? Are you a fan of Barbie doll? Do you know that Barbie doll is already 50 years old?

Haha… My answer for the above mentioned question is NO. I never played it during my childhood, and I wonder how many guys did, haha! But there is nothing wrong if you are a guy and you like Barbie doll, no offense.

I went to The Curve Shopping Center last week and I spotted a Barbie Doll 50th Anniversary exhibition at the center court. I was amazed that they displayed various design of Barbie doll. They even have tailored made a series of localized Barbie dolls which consisting Malay Barbie doll, Chinese Barbie doll, and Indian Barbie doll. Some classic Barbie dolls were selling at more than RM2000! But most displayed items were not for sell.

I believe this limited edition of Barbie dolls are hard to find at the marketplace. So, I’ve captured some pictures to share with all the Barbie doll fans~! Have fun!

There is one thing you must alert when you shop at Jusco supermarket. On  the 25th of every calendar day, Jusco supermarket will not provide plastic bags for their customers. This is one of the environmental friendly actions that have been taken since last month I guest. So, you can either bring your own recycle-bag, or purchase it through them with the price of RM4.90, if I am not mistaken.

I rarely purchase groceries at Jusco supermarket because I do it at Tesco hypermarket. I bring my own recycle-bag every time. For me, I think this is a meaningful campaign; but you have to remember the date, 25th day of every month, bring your own bags, okay?

Eating out in Melaka

Posted by admin on Jun-5-2009

I don’t like chicken rice, so the notorious Chicken Rice Ball in Melaka barely attracts my attention. I had it once long time ago, and few weeks ago, I went there again. I don’t see any special of the Chicken Rice Ball anymore. There are a lot of restaurants that offer Chicken Rice Ball at Jonker Street, price is around RM4.80 – RM5.00 per serving. For me, it is just common chicken rice that rubbed into a round shape.

Another famous food, Satay Celup in Melaka which also hardly to attract my attention now. We went to the one which is not so famous in Melaka. They charge RM0.55 per stick and gravy (compulsory) is RM9. Honestly speaking, not really nice…

The most delicious thing that I had in Melaka this time was Durian Cendol, a Malaysian kind of dessert. I had it at Lao Qian Ice Cafe in Jonker Street. One bowl is selling at RM4.80, quite pricey indeed. It is really tasty and creamy. It tastes like a real durian. So, for those who don’t like durian, don’t try it, haha! Besides, you can find other kind of cendol at Jonker Street, don’t forget to try cendol with Gula Melaka.

It was a busy trip, I don’t have much time go to try Baba-Nyonya foods in Melaka. Hope next time I can have more time for it.

My great experience at Tenji Japanese Buffet

Posted by admin on Jun-3-2009

If you love Japanese buffet in affordable price, then you should go to Tenji Japanese Buffet at Solaris Mont Kiara during the promotion. I’ve blog about Tenji supper promotion before and finally I went to enjoy it last weekend!

I should say the food they served is worth for its price. There have a lot of variety in food, from Japanese, Chinese, Western, and also BBQ. You can even find Dim Sum and herbal soup at Tenji! If you are a Heagen Daaz ice cream lover, then you definitely will be satisfied with the free flow of Heagen Daaz at Tenji. Besides, there also have variety of cheese cakes and cookies, yummy! But I hope they will offer brownie in future, haha! I’ve never been to Jogoya before, but based on Keone’s experience, apparently Tenji has better choice on dessert *drool*.

The supper at Tenji begins at 9:30pm. We were there around 9:15pm and we saw a lot of people were queuing at the outside! At 11:30pm, they stop replenished foods, so basically you have around 2 hours for this session. However, you can still enjoy dessert and ice cream while chit-chatting with friends, they have plenty of these.

I didn’t capture any pictures while I was enjoying my food. Because I think it would be spoiling my mood of having my supper. I captured picture only before and after my meal, haha. I was there for food not for the picture of food. What I can offer to my readers is my experience at Tenji.

Book fair at The Mines

Posted by admin on Jun-1-2009

It’s a brand new month again, time flies.

Last weekend, we went to Pameran Buku Read Malaysia 2009 at MIECC, Mines Resort City. It is a great place for book worm, haha! We went there just because I need to meet my nephew in Serdang.

This book fair will be running from 29th May – 7th June 2009. We were there at 10am but then the book fair is started at 11am. So, remember the exhibition hours is from 11am to 10pm, don’t go there too early.

So, what we bought from that book fair? None, this is because we know there is a Popular bookstore warehouse sales at The Summit, Subang Jaya. The discount is up to 90%! So, we might go there someday for cheaper books.

So, choose a place that near to you and save more money on books~!
