Let’s join for next charity event

Posted by admin on Jan-23-2010

Our next charity visit to orphanage is fixed on 7th February 2010, Sunday. This is the second charity event that organized by a friend of mine after Taman Sinar Harapan visit. Since there are some remaining funds from last visit, hence, they decided to have the second visit before Chinese New Year. This time, the beneficial home is at Ti-Ratana Welfare Home which is located in Salak South Bahru (Desa Petaling).

I get to know a friend from other charity event that I attended last time, we chatted through MSN and I informed her about this event. She is still thinking to join but she said she knows nobody there except me (honestly, I don’t know most of the people that I tagged along last visit :p). But, she decided to donate RM50. Then, she transferred the money to my bank account immediately. I think she really trust me, Haha.

Hence, I decided to post this event on my blog to see whether I can help in raising the fund. If you would like to donate money, clothes, or even foods, do leave me a message. I will try my best to arrange on goods pick up. If you trust me as my friend did, you can choose to transfer money to my account as well. Anyway, that would be better if you can join the event, the more the merrier~! See you there~

Don’t waste…

Posted by admin on Jan-19-2010

One important that I’ve learned recently is always appreciated and feels thankful with what you have now. Don’t waste things especially food.

Recently, I found a lot of rotten apples other fruits in the fridge. These apples seem like belong to no body, but why they are in the fridge. So, I had to clear it out by throwing them to then bin. I feel like getting my hands dirty for doing such job.

I know we can get food easily in Malaysia. But wasting it is no different like throwing you luck (福份). Someday luck might be away from you, so please appreciated it and hold it tight when it is on your side.

Good luck everyone.

Spring cleaning at monastery

Posted by admin on Jan-17-2010

I woke up in the early morning on Sunday. Chinese New Year is just around the corner, hence I was volunteering to participate the “spring cleaning” at the monastery in USJ. I was expecting things could be done within half day but I only got back at 6pm.

I was stink after cleanup the kitchen and the drain. You wouldn’t want to know what I’d done to clear the drain. That was the first time I did that as well. Since I decided to do, then I have to do the best for them. At the same time, I get to know few friends as well.

After a tiring work, I was wondering whether my family has done the spring cleaning or not… Perhaps I should go back next week and help up my own family too. Have you done house spring cleaning yet?

Are you a vegetarian?

Posted by admin on Jan-14-2010

My boss bumped into me in the lift after having lunch. Suddenly, she looked and me and ask,

“Sean, are you a vegetarian now?”

She was shocked when she saw my monky photo album on my Facebook. Then, she started to feel curios about my direction, Haha!

“Why?” I answered her. I think it was impolite but I really didn’t know how to answer her question. Another colleague was in the lift, and then she smartly helped me to explain that I am practicing it, but not entirely.

Yes. I start practicing it before I went for the short-term monk “sojourn”. It is good for health. But I still eat meat occasionally especially when I hang out with friends or colleagues. I still go to normal restaurant but just order food that without meat. I am not a “fulltime” vegetarian, but vegetable is my main food resources.

This is  answer to my boss and other friends and colleagues.

Hmm… are you vegetarian too? Or a meat lover?

A visit to Taman Sinar Harapan

Posted by admin on Jan-11-2010

A group of kind-hearted youth went for a charity event at Taman Sinar Harapan, Kuala Kubu Bahru last Sunday. I tagged along for the trip although I don’t know most of them. We donated quite a number of old clothes and diapers. These are the items that they need the most. They are really unfortunate.

The second home that we visited was an old folk home nearby. I talked to a few of residents there. I found that most of them keep a cat. The cat accompanies them most of the time and even shares the same bed. Perhaps the cat is the closest ‘partner’ for them. I can understand that because I see they love their own cat very much. What pet will I keep as my “companion” in my elderly life? Haha!

There is another old lady who has three children. Her children sent her to this home due to busy work schedule. They will only come to visit their mum once in a year, which is during Hari Raya.

Anyway, I will say don’t so worry about our future. Keeping kind heart, saying good words, plant good deeds, then you will be blessed. Appreciate whatever you have now. Always remember that you are a lucky one because you are normal and have good health.
