Are you a vegetarian?

Posted by admin on Jan-14-2010

My boss bumped into me in the lift after having lunch. Suddenly, she looked and me and ask,

“Sean, are you a vegetarian now?”

She was shocked when she saw my monky photo album on my Facebook. Then, she started to feel curios about my direction, Haha!

“Why?” I answered her. I think it was impolite but I really didn’t know how to answer her question. Another colleague was in the lift, and then she smartly helped me to explain that I am practicing it, but not entirely.

Yes. I start practicing it before I went for the short-term monk “sojourn”. It is good for health. But I still eat meat occasionally especially when I hang out with friends or colleagues. I still go to normal restaurant but just order food that without meat. I am not a “fulltime” vegetarian, but vegetable is my main food resources.

This is  answer to my boss and other friends and colleagues.

Hmm… are you vegetarian too? Or a meat lover?

I can’t live without meat. I like to eat vegetable but I love meat the most. :)

I think it’s healthy to be vegetarian, and you also help the environment. But to me it’s too hard to practice it, so I haven’t started. Though I would like to try. But even if I try, I will be like you, not the 100% vegetarian but just avoiding meat when possible.

  3. cherry Said,

I think being vegetarian is healthy and being compassionate in not killing any living animals for our sake of survival

At the same time, right now, vegetarian does not miss out on ordinary food; like vegetarian curry mee, laksa, mee rebus, hokkien mee and etc.

Try out the vegetarian mee stall at Tai Chen Restaurant. This will give you encouragement to try it out without fear of not having good asian mee food
