Tyre Punched!

Posted by admin on Nov-7-2008

It was my first time encountered tyre punched. It happened when I was at Cyberjaya yesterday. I brought few students attended a briefing at Cyberjaya. I noticed my tyre is flatted after we planned to go back.

None any of us has the experience in changing the tyre. But, we just tried to change it with the theory we have learned. I called my colleague who has experienced on it. So, here are few things that we learned when you encounter tyre punched:

  • Loosen tyre’s screws, but not entirely take off.
  • Lift/jack your car off the ground by the tool provided in your car.
  • Take off the screws and change with the spare tyre.
  • Tighten the screws, but not entirely.
  • Lowered down your car, and tighten the screw entirely.

There is another incident happened after we changed the tyre. My spare tyre also flattens! I drove to the nearest petrol station to fill the air. However, I tried to fill it but it didn’t work! I was panic, is it my spare tyre GONE as well? Luckily, the assistant came to help me. He said must choose the “FOR FLATTEN TYRE ONLY” option in that pump to fill the air! I really don’t know it, do you?

After all the hassle, I drove slowly back to PJ. It was an adventure trip for me!

Choose the right fuel

Posted by admin on Nov-2-2008

I think most of us would choose to RON97 pump while we are filling the petrol to our car. Do you know what does RON97 mean?

I used to think that RON92 is leaded petrol, but I was wrong! I think we couldn’t find any petrol station that still providing leaded petrol in Malaysia. But, I heard you can find it in Kelantan, that one I am not sure.

Recently, I read an article about petrol in the newspaper. It stated that if your vehicle required RON90, it means RON92 will fit with your car’s needs. It doesn’t have any extra advantage even you choose to use RON97. For your information, RON97 is more expensive than RON92. Why you choose something which is more expensive but didn’t bring benefits to your car?

You can check you car user manual to identify which type of petrol is suit to your needs. I’ve checked my Perodua Kelisa’s manual, it stated RON90 and above. So, RON92 just fit with my needs.

I am going to choose RON92 for my next visit to petrol station. But, I know some petrol station stop selling RON92 due to low demand. It is all about our misconception at the past. Sigh…

I read this advertisement from TheSun newspaper for quite some time. This advertisement appeared after the petrol price gone up drastically.

The product claims that it can help to save fuel for your vehicle. It is a product called AutoMax Fuel Enhancher with Nanotech! There is a list of benefits for this product, it makes me so tempting to try about.

This product is selling at RM38.90. However, you can cut the coupon available from the newspaper and get RM10 discount from the usual price. Promotion last at 31st July 2008. You can find this product at Cosway or 7-11 convenience stores, nationwide.

Personally, I never try it before. Does anyone of you try it before? Does it efficient as advertised?

New car invention

Posted by admin on Apr-17-2008

I heard that an American student has invented an “environmental” friendly car. The car is able to travel up to 1007 KM with one little of fuel! Amazing huh?

However, it is still in the prototype phase. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the picture of this car from the internet. So, I cannot post it here. But, it is really good if we really can see it in the market in future.

Do you think this going to be happened? I doubt. If this new technology is being released in the market, then the petroleum country eat what in the future? HAHA~~!!

Service my car @ Eneos

Posted by admin on Dec-14-2007

Next week is starting the long holidays, and I plan to drive my cute Kelisa back to my hometown. So, I drove my car to ENEOS for normal service. However, my colleagues told me it is no worth to service car at ENEOS.

This is the second times I service my car at ENEOS. I took the package which is recommended for a small car. It only cost me RM58, include engine oil, oil filter, nitrogen gas for tyres… So, I think it is quite affordable. Besides, I spent RM35 for alignment and balancing as well.

I am wondering where you guys service your car? Is it no worth to service car at ENEOS?
