RON95 - CAN or CANNOT?

Posted by admin on Sep-1-2009

The newly introduced petrol RON 95 is selling at RM1.80 beginning today. It is five sen higher than the expected price. Currently, the RON 97 petrol is selling at RM 2.05 and has been categorized as a premium product. I believe most of the smart motorists will switch to RON95 fuel after this change. However, not all car models can use this newly introduced petrol.

I received a document that indicates the car models that can and cannot use RON95. The document is just for the reference. To know about your car’s RON rating, please refer to the owner’s manual of at the inside of the fuel lid of your car’s fuel tank. There should have the indication for the suitable RON fuel for you car.

Lier! New petrol pricing!

Posted by admin on Aug-31-2009

Initially, they were proposing petrol RON95 to be replacing RON92 at the same price, which is RM1.70 per little. But, recently, I heard that RON95 will be selling at RM1.75 which is 5 cent cheaper than the current price of RON97, and RON97 will then increase to RM2.00.

Tomorrow is the day to apply this new pricing scale for the petrol in the country. Then, I read news saying RON95 will be selling at RM1.80 and RON97 will be selling at RM2.05! I wonder they always wanted to increase the price of petrol even though the crude oil price is quite stable recently. I don’t think the government subsidies money on that!

They are lier! I rather they don’t do anything and keep for the old pricing! Or, is it a gift for Merdeka? Shall I be happy?

Committed suicide?

Posted by admin on Jul-18-2009

It is hard for me to believe that Teoh Beng Hock was committed suicide. I don’t know him, but there has no sign to show that he would be doing this.

What do you think?

My condolence to his family…

New Malaysia RM50 banknotes

Posted by admin on Jul-17-2009

Bank Negara announces the new design of RM50 banknote from 15th July 2009.This new note will be replacing the existing series. The previous design was introduced in December 2007. Within two years time, they have introduced another new design which come with various of innovative security! Based on the statements from Bank Negara, the new security features are:

The Colour Shifting Security Thread which replaces the existing security thread and is embedded in the paper. The thread appears on the reverse side of the note as coloured intermittent lines. When held against light, it is seen as a continuous dark coloured line and the repeated text of BNM RM50 can be read. When the note is tilted, the colour of the thread changes from red to green and vice versa. Under ultra-violet light, the repeated text of BNM RM50 will fluoresce yellow and the thread is seen as a continuous fluorescent yellow line when the banknote is viewed from the obverse.

The Two-Coloured Fluorescent Elements is an additional invisible printed feature on the reverse of the note. Under ultra-violet light, a complex design two-colour numeral 50 will fluoresce.

If you are a banknote collector, then you should keep few RM50 banknotes because they will stop the production of old design in future. I am not the collector, but I know there are a lot of them like to collect it.
