My dry eye problem

Posted by admin on Jul-21-2010

Recently, I feel my eyes dried easily when I am in the office. I thought I am not enough of water, hence I drink more water. But, the condition is not improving. I still encounter the same problem. It is very irritating.

My colleagues and friends told me it might be caused by dried air in the air-conditioned room. They suggested putting a cup of water to increase the air humidity. Actually it doesn’t help much, or it doesn’t bring prominence effect.
Do you have such problem too? Do you have any secret to relief dry eye?

Swim~

I still go back to Subang Empire Fitness First platinum no matter how I dislike it. Because so far it is still free parking and I like the environment there as well.

Although the swimming pool at Fitness First Platinum Subang Empire is small as like a joke, but I still jump into the pool. I couldn’t remember when was the last time I swim in a swimming pool. Just simply I don’t like the chlorine smell and also it hurts my skin. But, I just bought an AussieBum swimming trunk; simply want to “showoff” the swimming trunk, keke…

However, I just swim for less than 15 minutes. I can’t swim without wearing swimming goggle. So, my next item to purchase is a goggle. Then, swimming pool, I will visit you again~

I have been with Fitness First for many years. I am quite happy with their service for all the while, but something happened today that makes me feel so disappointing with their service.

If you have been to Subang Empire Fitness First, you would probably know the changing room space is ridiculously small. Hence, we have to squeeze like a sardine when many people are there. There are many people in the changing room this evening. I put my hand towel on the bench while changing my clothes and prepare for shower. Then, my towel went missing. Perhaps there are too crowded in the changing room and people might mistaken your towel and return to the towel counter. This incident happened to me in the other club and they are fine with it. Hence I just went for shower without any worry.

When I was returning my bath towel to the counter, they couldn’t find my hand towel return back together with the bath towel. Hence I explained the situation to the person politely that it was really crammed in the changing room. The person in-charge said their towels went missing a lot lately; hence they would penalize customers for losing their towel. If they ‘found’ the towel by the day, then they will refund the money to the customer.

Funny, how would they go and FIND the missing towel? He claimed that they would count the number of towels at the end of the day. I tell you, there are A LOT OF towels being used in a day, I don’t think they would find ONE missing towels. And, what if MANY towels were missing on the same day? I don’t have time to argue with them, so I just paid the fine (RM 15).

If I were wanted to steal their towel, I could simply tell a lie that I didn’t request hand towel when I collected my towel. But I chose to be honest and tell them the truth. Then I was being penalized for being honest to them. That makes me feel so disappointing. It is not only for the RM 15 but also the trust between the club and the customer.

I completed my first half-marathon!

Posted by admin on Jul-5-2010

Finally, I did it.

I completed my first half-marathon on 27th June 2010. It was a milestone for my running record. I started my very first run for 10km at SCKLM 2009. Then, I soft of addicted to running. Hence, I decided to take this challenge, to compete at half-marathon!

I was the 655th runner to complete the half-marathon and it took me 2 hours 11 minutes 57 seconds. I am glad with my achievement especially I could complete it within my targeted time. I ran continuously without stop (except very short period for taking sips), and thanks to the flat route as well.

Should I challenge full marathon next year? This is still a big question in my head. As I aged, my stamina decreases drastically. Let’s finish all the up coming run in this year first, then only think about next year~

SCKLM 2010 - I am coming

Posted by admin on Jun-26-2010

This will be the second time I joined Standard Chartered KL-Marathon (SCKLM). This is the biggest marathon event in Malaysia. I joined 10 KM run last year. Then, I decided half-marathon (21.5KM) this year.

I went to collect the race pack on the first day of the distribution. The collection venue is at Stadium Titiwangsa. I have no idea how to go there, luckily, they provide shuttle bus from Titiwangsa LRT station to Stadium Titiwangsa.

Compared to last year, the collection procedures are better than last year. At least it is in air-conditional environment. I went during lunch time and I spent less than 45 minutes to collect it. Besides, I like the NB vest this year. Finally I got a vest which is fit to me!

There is NB booth outside the venue. They give 30% discount on all shoes; hence I bought another pair of running shoe! At the same time, the running socks are selling at RM18 (original price RM49), so I grabbed the chance to get a pair too!

I am so excited for tomorrow’s run. It is my first half-marathon. See tomorrow!
